Get Wicked- Ozmopolitic at Fuse, Marina Bay Sands

27 Jan, 2012

The green wave, hitting Singapore from MBS to the depths of the mass rapid transport.

For your English to be more jazzy, end everything with z's, instead of s. Razzmatazz. Well actually no, it is the O
z's world here, where everybody has got the descent of green skin. For
encore/physical extension of euphoria, soak oneself in the vertical heights of lounge Fuse.

Get into the spirit of the 'wicked witch'. Or start cosmopolitan brewing. Like a memorabilia/Special feature of the show, you can get this green potent concoction in the name of the hit.

Ozmopolitan (SGD 15.00)

The Ozmopolitan actually comes from kiwi/lime, for the emerald tint and taste of cosmopolitan. Giving you a sugar fix without being thin in the liqueur. Good for mulling over the band, Two Tone playing in the bar.

P.S. Cocktails and mocktails, they are not uncommon in electric greens and blues. Rather, it is at its commonest now, evil/World of Oz and all things it is.

Greened at the ends- HK Pan-fried Pau

Night

Bread and buns steamed, green on the edges, how about one that is (pan) fried?

The pan-fried paus (buns) are the not-as-simple buns, unable to come to terms to be 'baked' or 'fried', endeared by Shanghainese and Hong Kongers and gastronomes all over the earth.

Pan Fried Pau (SGD 1.30 ea)

Mouth-wateringly and innovatively, pan-fried pau also come in a web of flavours, not missing out in this increasingly globalised world. A little oil which goes a long way, it is well garnished by sesame seeds and red onions which remedies the bread, the meat which is real chunky and tender, and the "nutty" or "grassy" wafts which comes your way as you detect the bread.

P.S. A step ahead of the patisserie connoisseurs. Green tea can be salty, barbecued. Seasoned. The pan-fried matcha buns felt carried to many airline checkpoints at once, when one is still (rooted) in the same place.

American for a month- American Key Lime Pie

Sunny

For the month of January, JP Pepperdine decided to call for an American theme, sirloin beef and California burgers with american desserts to go with.

Which explains in its chilled cake section, there is this slice of pie that is out of place, when the rest are yellow.

American Key Lime Pie (SGD 5.50)

Official approval for green coloured pie. Key limes are the easily wielded, thickened little limes that you harvest their juice over cooked noodles, or chicken wings. The juice, however, is slightly over the yellow, hence key(?).

P.S. Is what a pie pie without having an interior? The key of the key lime pie is zesty, and pleasant enough with the aroma of limes, but one is not accustomed to the fact that it is squishy, whipped and spongey, like marshmallows? Culture shock, maybe, a key lime pie is fifty percent cloud-like meringue, and crust.
