Golden fortune- yellow vanilla cone from McDonald

Sunny

Vanilla Cone (SGD 0.70)

Tribute to minion- blue icecream cone@ McDonald's

Sunny

Cotton Candy Flavour Burst (SGD 1.00)

Mango and lime- Brasilia Green Cone from McDonald

Sunny

Last season's on the palette colour was pink. Now it is applied felt tip pen green.

Mango Flavour Burst (SGD 1.00)

Its not about the burst, really. Ok introducing new flying droplets after so many past break aparts from fruit to tropical orange to kopi to butterscotch. Cool but yet to be weathered with vanilla and biscuits {because of the the banana kick} the sweet and rich mango. It was vaguely resemblant of one concoction, evaporated milk and fresh mangoes maybe, or the McDonald's Mango Peach Sundae but more to a mellow peachy tone in cone.

P.S. After cone cartridges stored by the side, like firearms stowed in your strap which the Macs employee pull them out in pink, you thought there'd be two rows but there's no even inquiry into you just wafer, this time round its another tower in green, no plain/default/colourless/wafer/brown no matter high and low you look around the dessert kiosk. Complimentary the Basilica cone because in the fever. [One wanted to choose the Vanilla Cone,] actually.

Yam is y(u)m- new crush @ Mr Bean

Sunny

Pearly bandung aside, hits the spot (appraisal) the new tuber to hit the blenders. {Adzuki bean, next thing Starbucks coming up is yam}.

Adventurous Mr Bean strawberry cream cheese pancake (Mother's day probably, a salute with the shade of love), are taro soya milk and gula melaka soya pudding.

Taro Soya Milk (Without Pearls) (SGD 2.30)

The taro soya milk can be served hot, warm or cold. Its a rich,  tingling purple. Decadently invigorating, the taste is thick and muddied at first, the fragrance of yam wells up a little. It is later washed with a thinning, beany flavour of soy. Mellifluous. Taro is the endearing way of calling yam. Or yam is white and mountainous, taro the sweeter, accurate term.

Gula Melaka Silky Soya Pudding (SGD 2.20)

Local, rustic (perhaps household feedback on what Singapore delights), chendol, bandung, Mr Bean now gula melaka, gula melaka the strapping sugar to its pudding made from soy. To coffee, the amber syrup, and milk; to cakes, vintage-inspired. Unexpectedly, the taro soya milk was sweeter than the gula melaka soya pudding. Whilst sweet, the sugar had a richer, darker taste, a topping for the pudding eggy but silken. Keep refrigerated or consume on the day of purchase before the curd settles. It is set with nata de coco.

P.S. Soya, a filter that makes the food enhanced, complexed. Soya ice-cream, soya latte, soya pudding, the taste is inapprehensible. So many layers. Now add taro, spill the gula melaka. The shroud of Mr Bean. Besides the potential, lighter on the health of course.

I say Blue- ChaseTheBluesAway @ McDonald's

Night

Fudge (hot), strawberry, me?

Blueberry Sundae (SGD 1.50)

Poetic as ever blueberries violets are blue, the lips are stained with a purple. Unlike run-of-the-mill sauces/syrup, the blueberry was livening with fresh touches, making it somehow distinct from the other berry sundae. Sweet, yes, like maple, whole blueberries like gems reminiscent of Post Selects Blueberry Morning cereal crystals.

P.S. Purple garb day. Grab it with a (hot) taro pie. Oozing with that ambivalent grey. What a strange season for McDonald's- honey lemon, taro pie, blueberry sundae.

Pantastic- no longer limits to the pan@ Pizza Hut

Rainy

Pasta Perfecto seems to know it all, a consumer catering-all belt of red, white and even parchment pasta. It also has a sense of something is missing, finally, if be addressed as the great circle of pasta. The not-to-be-neglected, how can we not forget; nonetheless pasta, tasty black.

It has been a long time, and once again, like alarm bells sounding. Thrusting one's glance over the shoulder, peeping if anyone else ordered this what did other customers order. Being insecure. Been self-conscious. Being rusty, at black.

Squid Ink Linguine (SGD 14.90)

From all the amok sauces (non-red or white) [pasta in broth/cannelloni/hazelnut creme] this is just of of them in the uncategorized. Just one word- maybe that's how one started starting all this. It can helm as Pasta Hut. How can one let this squid ink get over me? Its just- Pizza Hut, fast-food.

Thanks to Pizza Hut, one is dawned on the black (squid ink) pasta as white(-based sauce) pasta! It is thick, creamy with a savoury finish, definitely not the tangy, tomato-red sauce category. The rendition here by Pizza Hut has a smooth, boiled like seafood chowder-kind of consistency kindly blanketing over your wheat linguine, it is a supreme experience.

P.S. Salty, one would say, closest to the squeamish perception one would expect of a squid, or from squid's ink. Umami. However, one is to advise the squid rings as partly raw, parboiled. It would probably give off a bit of the rubbery uneasiness that many would flee from from the body or ink of the swimming mollusk. But definitely not from the black (squid ink) sauce. You can still enjoy the pasta. It is not guilty. It is to be pardoned, {or even given a chance to}, for being black.

P(re)ppered to blow away- Tri-colour spice @ KFC

Cloudy

This which was found at 3 60 marketplace, the Pierian Spring of all things which followed, also a reminder of the coloured sugar, which resides at Dean & DeLuca. All of that psychodelic spice that grow out of natural colours like geology stones.

Pink peppercorn, green peppercorn, and black peppercorn. Yes, there are such things in Mother Nature the latter the overflow in usage of what we eat as black pepper. On your chicken.

Tri-pepper Crunch (Meal) (SGD 6.30)

Trepidation with our chicken and fast-food found at the end of the rainbow and how it will look like, tri pepper did not disappoint. A delicate pale pink, green, black-and-yellow pepperheads greeting us, exactly how they might have been if in a gourmet mix. Its thrice the spice. Underneath the crispy, marinated with a layer of spicy oil kind of savouriness, you can bite into the peppercorns, each giving an acrid-biting hotness, but flavourful- because its black pepper(kind), remember. Like peppering your chowder away to a maximum impact.

P.S. These are opaque, yet peppering them on chicken adds it like glitter, {the red at bits pink, red, or orange}, creating the most beautiful chicken yet. Red, green, white, black, on brown/yellow. There are quite a lot of colours. Red, green, blue{dark-the black}, the 3 primary colours. Trust to find them on Kentucky's Favourite Chicken.

Love your =) even more- McDonald's Real Fruit Smoothie

April 2012

When it was apple (dippers), one couldn't quite accept it. And now it is the itsy bitsy fruit of the berry. We no longer chug our mugs with paper rolled with streamers of red, navy and yellow in our sets, but now down in transparent canisters filled with opaque liquid in the midst of our trays.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie (SGD 3.45) (Small)

The McCafe. Presenting a small slice of heaven to us, when we wake up hit in the face that we have become too old for Mcdonald's {or not}. This pink amongst the so many adult-chocolate varieties reminds us such thing as concessions.

P.S. Like some birthchild of a prominent figure, is it real or not, what is inside the beverage, how much sugar added, poring and prying into every worth of the berries in the blend because it hails from a big name, which commonly does not deal with beverages, accessing its every move because there is an implication with its name. The smoothie is not a sweet-covered lattice, attesting to strawberries (natural) (zing), justifiably fine for the ice crystals with some strawberry/banana seeds.

Macarons in Milkshake - McDonald's Macaron Frappe

Night

What is a frappe? Frappe is ice-blended coffee, with dashes of milk and sugar. Unanticipatedly sprouting up at McCafé, there should be something wrong about it; the milkshake (brown/pink) realm of it is actually blood of macaron, or debris of macaron.

Strawberry Macaron Frappé and Chocolate Macaron Frappé (SGD 4.95 ea)

A blender can perform anything, from Hershey to virus to oreo, so why not in the package of a macaron? The details of a macaron, and the justification of it adding to milkshake. Crisp meringue shell, the sugar for the frappe, the chewy interiors, the flavour of the frappe, and the cream layer between the macaron patties? Probably added glitz, like jelly in my milkshake.

P.S. The taste is really, unique. It is tongue-sharpenly sweet, with an exotic fragrance due to the macaron. There are icing sugar shards within the extreme creaminess, probably the quintessential when macaron meets milkshake. Graham, cakes, yes; so far one hasn't fiction how a macaron burger will be like when blended in milk. The thing about chocolate and strawberry is, the chocolate more indulgent and the strawberry has puree, but is that a parallel comparison between a chocolate macaron and a strawberry macaron, the discrepancy and misdiscrepancy of it just got one thinking.

P.P.S. Curry sauce, apple pie, Filet-O-Fish, this, Double Cheeseburger, McChicken, this, what has happened to you, franchise?

McGreen- Where are the wasabi shaker fries?

Cloudy

Strewn boxes, bumper stickers and entropic packages. That was the heyday of McDonald's, when it morphs from anything from Fantastic burgers to Chicken McCrispy.

For some reason, it has decided to seek this teenage deviance back in 2008, even though it's not the lunar new year, (for Beef Prosperity Burger®), or the Valentine's month, (for Blueberry Melts). Reminisce, maybe? Hence there is this-is it lettuce, or something more that meets the eye(?), floating around and plugging everyone's eyes to it.

Wasabi Filet-O-Fish Meal (SGD 5.75)

Filet-O-Fish was the one-way straight-through order for me, something I'd make from 3-year old to secondary four. There seems to be no lacking in it to order something else. If you know it well, there is no lettuce in Filet-O-Fish®.

P.S. Green food
talk aside, this wasabi rendition is pretty bona fide. It is nose-searingly hot, no more cloying factor on the container sauce/mayonnaise/egg, stealing from the star of the show. It is no longer wasabi mayo, but wasabi (sauce). A fix for wasabi junkies, and Mac lov'rs alike.

Orange Day- Prosperity from McDonald's

Night

The preppy shade refreshing among the blue of the winter, washing over the entire billboard. There is going to be a change in decor very soon.

Tropical Orange Flavour Burst (SGD 0.80)

At the edge of the road; Orchard Road, there were caucasians, filipinos, mexicans enjoying the al fresco, naked weather. The rest of the locals must have stayed indoors for the season. It would be a few days before this place gets flooded.

Pineapple pie (SGD 1.30)

A mouthful on the tongue. An invigorating twist to the baked pie, it is comfort food of crispy golden shell with nectarine syrup inside, but the fruit pieces tangy pineapples. Imagine it shining yellow inside.

P.S. Of course there is also the Orange McFizz, Zesty Orange McFlurry, Twister fries.

Sundae on a sunday- Mcdonalds Double Lime with nata de coco

Night

After the storm with the monopoly, Mcdonalds also (finally) came up with a new constitution of the sundae- the double. Double chocolate chip in chocolate the main and chocolate the chip, double cheeseburger in double the cheese, double lime= what double?

Double Lime Sundae (SGD 2.20)

It is not the double way of chocolate, or with 2 lime rings; but rather, the double of burgers. Twice the size, hungry, i'm lovin' eat. Looking slime-like like monsters, it is actually the comforting, dear taste of yester-year- lime popsicle with vanilla ice-cream inside, remember?

The volume of it is actually the small cup of orange juice, or coke. Upon first taste, its fragrance's detergent, then after-taste, it is the mellow flavour of lime popsicles and vanilla.

P.S. After dissemination of the green apple pie in package, the Mcdonald's Sweet 'N Sour Sauce is also green(lime)! High fructose corn syrup, water, apricot puree concentration, peach puree concentration, distilled vinegar, soy sauce, sodium benzoate; food reading has never been so exciting.

Green Sundae

6 Nov, 2010

You know you are back to civilian with new green, black or rainbow. Also the end of psle, e-y-e, mark of op, A's, and ord. Some kind of jet lag but this year is going to end! Indoors are starting to snow with peppermint background.

Chocolate Chip Sundae (Green Apple) (SGD 1.80)

So are Mcdonald's sundae. With a red beside the green in the sundae's poster, you can't help to acknowledge your lag of time. But it is not peppermint, it is green apple. Green apple fragrant like handwash, mellifluous like candy, embedded in the smooth, vanilla puree that we are all familiar with.

P.S. In condensed fashion almost like some kind of trifle or pavlova, you think about yuletide, and that christmas is almost here.

Green Ice Cream

29 April, 2010
Hailing from the green pastures of northern Japan, Hokkaido ice-cream is made from the 'hokkaido' milk of cows. Big on 'milky' and japanese sweetly, it becomes a log-in when its from MOS; pre-packed in pudding cups and sold in bulk, compact with green emanating from all sides of the container's lid.

Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream (SGD 2.95)

Green Apple Pie

28 April, 2010

In postmortem celebration of a singapore tourist, one rests its feet at fast-food chain Mcdonalds. From far almost every hand cupped a parcel like this:
somewhat familiar and yet not

Green day? Earth Hour? Granny Smith Green Apples? The power of packaging- and design.
Apple Pie (SGD 1.50)

Green Ice Cream cone

27 April, 2010

Having passed
a many a times,
a red, brown, blue
drizzled over
a white-peaked snow
With this green(apple).
Poster made me sat down
finally to get a cuppa.

Flavour Burst (Green Apple) (SGD 1.00)
It is not ice cream, ice cream cone, or sundae. Its called Flavour Burst.
Apples, an addition to my green-family of colours. The apple
wasn't red this time.

Alternate integral in the shade of emerald- the ice-cream sauce intermingling white-serve canvas.

P.S. I'd always wonder how they are made, just like how mayonnaise is squeezed into a presentable tube of star.
