Green Spicy Tori King Ramen (SGD 12.90)

Tori King Ramen (Chicken broth Ramen) (SGD 11.90)

Toast that ties-flower-next-door@Ya Kun Toastwich

Fine

We want  it. The Horlicks frostyz, mocha frostyz, coffee frostyz, green tea frostyz (with red beans). Over The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf or Starbucks on another day. Somehow, only Milo frostyz was not tried before. Or tea frostyz.

They are premium ice-blends full on the powder, to a coffee connoisseur as a frappe alternative in the coffee culture. Ya Kun spreads the local even more with a Toastwich or every store, supplying curry potato, rendang chicken, laska, mee rebus and bites.

Bandung Frostyz (with whipped cream) (SGD 5.20)

It is a flavourful and powerful ice-blend with rich whipped cream, like buttercream and familiar bandung (evaporated) milky rose syrup drink. The chunky red beans are said to be fresh.

P.S. The ♥-friendly kaya pistachio cookies, kaya balls, steamed bread, you know we'd like to try them next time.

Papa nana coco the (cucu)factor in soy- Mr Bean

Sunny

There. We've got papa (ya), nana (ba), coco (nut). Equatorial, fluid replenishing fruits. How about a mango, kiwi, or perhaps matcha adzuki? The cool tide of greens and oranges. But this is not kiwi, actually. Mr Bean has decided not to launch the kiwi but the lesser, kyuri as the icy blaster this summer. (Cucu) 'mber.

Icy Kyuri (Small) (SGD 3.00)

No need to look elsewhere. Mr Bean, kindly feeds you what you need. Kyuri are japanese cucumbers. The crocodile-skinned, burly looking scallywags. You are counseled by the familiarity. It is the hunger-staving crunches that mum packs in sandwich lunches, and the lucent pleats served alongside with sashimi. Cucumber slush is sweet, held by the laps of smooth soy milk. The partially bludgeoned cucumbers give off a sharp, pale scent.

P.S. Vegetable with milk? Or ovo-vegetarian, floating in beans, protein? Your sanity is preserved with the adjective. Its (Mr Bean's) Fruity Soya Milk series. Then the Veggie Soya Milk (carrot soya milk, celery soya milk).

Yam is y(u)m- new crush @ Mr Bean

Sunny

Pearly bandung aside, hits the spot (appraisal) the new tuber to hit the blenders. {Adzuki bean, next thing Starbucks coming up is yam}.

Adventurous Mr Bean strawberry cream cheese pancake (Mother's day probably, a salute with the shade of love), are taro soya milk and gula melaka soya pudding.

Taro Soya Milk (Without Pearls) (SGD 2.30)

The taro soya milk can be served hot, warm or cold. Its a rich,  tingling purple. Decadently invigorating, the taste is thick and muddied at first, the fragrance of yam wells up a little. It is later washed with a thinning, beany flavour of soy. Mellifluous. Taro is the endearing way of calling yam. Or yam is white and mountainous, taro the sweeter, accurate term.

Gula Melaka Silky Soya Pudding (SGD 2.20)

Local, rustic (perhaps household feedback on what Singapore delights), chendol, bandung, Mr Bean now gula melaka, gula melaka the strapping sugar to its pudding made from soy. To coffee, the amber syrup, and milk; to cakes, vintage-inspired. Unexpectedly, the taro soya milk was sweeter than the gula melaka soya pudding. Whilst sweet, the sugar had a richer, darker taste, a topping for the pudding eggy but silken. Keep refrigerated or consume on the day of purchase before the curd settles. It is set with nata de coco.

P.S. Soya, a filter that makes the food enhanced, complexed. Soya ice-cream, soya latte, soya pudding, the taste is inapprehensible. So many layers. Now add taro, spill the gula melaka. The shroud of Mr Bean. Besides the potential, lighter on the health of course.

SFF- fields forever @ Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Sunny

On cakes. We have had them blue. In the ice-cream bin. On crepes. But what is it anyway, something that is solid? What is red velvet if you could drink it?

Red Velvet Cocoa drink (SGD 6.00) (Small)

One is very unsure too, destabilizing one's understanding. For the perfect perk this season Coffee Bean has drinking chocolate in red velvet. A mug of cocoa hot or iced, to melt you. The iced version had a striated sweetness to it, somewhat like velvet, or something you get from a strawberry shake.

P.S. Walk out from the umbrage of a strawberry. The hottest cake in a drink.

Showdown- Mr.Bean's at the 9th of Aug

Cloudy

Mr Bean's interpretation of the National day, strawberry (pink) = red + white. The symbolism of brotherhood and the virtue of purity weld into one. So raw, so thick, its like Van Gogh's brilliant red and white impasto.

Strawberry Soya Smoothie and Strawberry Cream Cheese Pancake (SGD 4.00) (NDP)

The whole family. The strawberry had a mellow, fruity aftertaste its like the puddings and cream in the cream cheese paste which was not sour or tart at all.

P.S. Step aside chocolate {rice}, (because we aren't too accustomed to the heritage red bean, kaya, gourmet cheese, mayo tuna), after the Neapolitan its the strawberry. One thinks you will like it too. A different kind of white. Not milk, but soya.

Ho-"jiak"- Going beans @ Starbucks

Cloudy

Bubble tea fat straws. It wasn't the advent of customer courtesies which led to the revision of the availability of sizes in diameter of their signature ivy-green drinking straws, but these.

Hojicha + (tea jelly), and green tea + (red bean) frappuccino. Larger than (life) asteroidal foreign objects in smoothies, which require a more-than-just-beverages obstruction-free gateway up their passages. And not because of 1cm-diameter straws in view of provision of only 5mm straws, like the 100% recycled paper napkins in view of a Green Economy.

Hojicha + Earl Grey Jelly (SGD 6.80) and Green Tea + Red Beans Frappuccino ( SGD 7.00) (Tall ea)

Sediments above/floating the beverage. Like chendol. The green tea frappuccino had red beans which were mushy, steeped and slush(-like) to the bite, amidst the green tea of smooth and velvety flavour. It was the right ratio of milk, syrup and tea. Appreciate these because it is an asian country (Singapore), where they would have these green-coloured teas/matcha a past-time and clinching a spot as a staple in the Starbucks menu.

Red Bean Green Tea Cheesecake (SGD 6.50)

The red beans here are more firm and chewy. The green tea here was just like luxuriant cream cheese, but with a touch from the extract of the leaves, of strong, grassy notes. Different from the green tea in the frappuccino, which was more like a skimming essence. The sudden comparison between the green tea and the green tea and the red bean and the red bean in the cake felt like chicken macaroni in a chicken rice stall, where the chicken macaroni was actually an impressive alternative by the chicken connoisseurs in making use of the soup after the boiling of the bones, opening up a new dish to draw crowds.

P.S. Cheesecake side by side with the frappuccino. The matcha powder had gone into the batter of the cheesecake as an extract, and also to build up frappuccino orders as an essence. The red beans too, dropped into the batter uncooked and baked, and the rest is also allocated to be dunked and steeped in the frapppuccino. Once again, appreciate {the happiness} that it is asian (Singapore, here) where the green is welcomed generously and there is an introductory offer on the green teas, for the green to be lined up in the same league as the blueberry crumble and earl grey jelly lemon as for here.

Cosy to a "T"-Tea Cosy

Sunny

Striking as a robin egg's blue as its logo, dreams like this do come true, when you find out what you see in your mug.

Tea Cosy has snuggled in the corner far as history goes with Plaza Singapura, shoulder to shoulder with Spotlight, spinning a picturesque image of homeliness and warmth.

Chocolate Minty Coffee (SGD 6.95)

What mother would approve of. By its gentile, meek title, it is actually no less deviled than the stratified cocktail layers of an alcohol beverage. Look at the white foam, brown washes and the brilliant green body. The froth is a layer of steamed milk breaking the liquid composition, the brown acidic of caffe latte, laid with a foundation of sharp, sweet mint syrup. The green serves as a visual surprise to the intensity of the mintness of the drink, when stirred evenly. Yet the shattering factor of the cuppa is, yes, that sombre brown at the bottom of the mug, a silver will do but so heavily-bodied- almost like 'tiramisu' in a Tiramisu McFlurry.

P.S. The ambiguity of the green the phenomenon of such colour to be- heightens the sublimity of drink/Tea Cosy, coffee/alcohol, winter/peppermint, vacation/reality.

No longer from the dispenser- a Dew deal

Drizzling

It is fluorescent. And opaque. How does the two even mix.

Honey Dew (SGD 0.70)

Dazzling with the furnishing. It is not that a bleak place after all.

P.S. Not everyday they are like this. Muted browns, pinks, oranges, like chatoyance candy. Usually swooshing in their canisters. It is really honey dew juice. More of like juice of a chewy sweet. With sorghum honey.

Love your =) even more- McDonald's Real Fruit Smoothie

April 2012

When it was apple (dippers), one couldn't quite accept it. And now it is the itsy bitsy fruit of the berry. We no longer chug our mugs with paper rolled with streamers of red, navy and yellow in our sets, but now down in transparent canisters filled with opaque liquid in the midst of our trays.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie (SGD 3.45) (Small)

The McCafe. Presenting a small slice of heaven to us, when we wake up hit in the face that we have become too old for Mcdonald's {or not}. This pink amongst the so many adult-chocolate varieties reminds us such thing as concessions.

P.S. Like some birthchild of a prominent figure, is it real or not, what is inside the beverage, how much sugar added, poring and prying into every worth of the berries in the blend because it hails from a big name, which commonly does not deal with beverages, accessing its every move because there is an implication with its name. The smoothie is not a sweet-covered lattice, attesting to strawberries (natural) (zing), justifiably fine for the ice crystals with some strawberry/banana seeds.

7-Eleven- (big) Gulps on that Milk Strawberry

Sunny

Poster pink sweeping over the most-hardworking chain store of Singapore. For a cow, for a milk. Licensed and carefully bottled from Taiwan, no curdling at room temperature, lasts up to a year without refrigeration. No-frills and baggage-less like Muji.

Milk Strawberry (SGD 3.50 for 2)

Seems every the aspect to become a mobile, non-perishable element.

Coffee S. (Strawberry kopi) (coffee with strawberry milk). Watery streaks of coffee rolling out from the bag, nonetheless upturning the liquid to become suffused of hallucinogenic gold and pink.

P.S. When the milk is pink, the cow is pink. Come, antiquity glass for holding folded stars.

Macarons in Milkshake - McDonald's Macaron Frappe

Night

What is a frappe? Frappe is ice-blended coffee, with dashes of milk and sugar. Unanticipatedly sprouting up at McCafé, there should be something wrong about it; the milkshake (brown/pink) realm of it is actually blood of macaron, or debris of macaron.

Strawberry Macaron Frappé and Chocolate Macaron Frappé (SGD 4.95 ea)

A blender can perform anything, from Hershey to virus to oreo, so why not in the package of a macaron? The details of a macaron, and the justification of it adding to milkshake. Crisp meringue shell, the sugar for the frappe, the chewy interiors, the flavour of the frappe, and the cream layer between the macaron patties? Probably added glitz, like jelly in my milkshake.

P.S. The taste is really, unique. It is tongue-sharpenly sweet, with an exotic fragrance due to the macaron. There are icing sugar shards within the extreme creaminess, probably the quintessential when macaron meets milkshake. Graham, cakes, yes; so far one hasn't fiction how a macaron burger will be like when blended in milk. The thing about chocolate and strawberry is, the chocolate more indulgent and the strawberry has puree, but is that a parallel comparison between a chocolate macaron and a strawberry macaron, the discrepancy and misdiscrepancy of it just got one thinking.

P.P.S. Curry sauce, apple pie, Filet-O-Fish, this, Double Cheeseburger, McChicken, this, what has happened to you, franchise?

FaNdfuN- Clearly Citrus

Sunny

Loud as ever, be it its attitude, shades it embraces, final tinge on the effervescence ends; F&N sparking drinks always makes fruits sound like lipstick, delicious.

It is an opportunity not to not rap presenting the rest of its family, Groovy Grape, Outrageous Orange, Cheeky Cherryade, Zesty Zapple, Flashy Fruitade. Clearly Clearly Citrus seems to have settled well.

Clearly citrus, one sees citrus as clear, the non-colour. An ascorbic mix of lemon and lime, stinging sourness together with the crispness of a freshly opened can of bubbles, making it a potent drink. One is sort of reeled behind that the rinds and threads of (citrus) sacs are fibrous, nontheless colourless.

P.S. Clearly citrus its name gives it (intelligently) away. One had been holding on to some hope from the fact of its punch-drunk citrus-coded colour cans and that it is clearly a fact that citrus is yellow and green.

Get Wicked- Ozmopolitic at Fuse, Marina Bay Sands

27 Jan, 2012

The green wave, hitting Singapore from MBS to the depths of the mass rapid transport.

For your English to be more jazzy, end everything with z's, instead of s. Razzmatazz. Well actually no, it is the O
z's world here, where everybody has got the descent of green skin. For
encore/physical extension of euphoria, soak oneself in the vertical heights of lounge Fuse.

Get into the spirit of the 'wicked witch'. Or start cosmopolitan brewing. Like a memorabilia/Special feature of the show, you can get this green potent concoction in the name of the hit.

Ozmopolitan (SGD 15.00)

The Ozmopolitan actually comes from kiwi/lime, for the emerald tint and taste of cosmopolitan. Giving you a sugar fix without being thin in the liqueur. Good for mulling over the band, Two Tone playing in the bar.

P.S. Cocktails and mocktails, they are not uncommon in electric greens and blues. Rather, it is at its commonest now, evil/World of Oz and all things it is.

A Glorious drink- Gloria Jean's Coffees White mocha

Cloudy

Everything here is still exactly the same, the lampshades, the napkins, the chairs; it feels like yesterday.

This chain from the US has its portions made: hearty. Neverending mugs deep like wells, cakes stoned-sized before they are sliced, even jumbo forks for battling with your mouth.

Minty White Mocha (Regular)

Grab a mug of green coffee this season. They come in latte art of treble clef or gilded fonts. Like flat white, it is a foam of green steamed milk circling the cup's circumference, sweet from the flavour of peppermint. Is it brown/coffee/all green underneath? The drink is a brilliant ochre grey of bejeweled tones, hardly adequate to describe the lucency of mixing mint with coffee, and green and brown this bizarre combination.

P.S. The chocolate in this mocha should have been white chocolate.

Have a Tea- have a tea break

Rainy

Have you seen so many milk before in your life? Ok, the shades. Red milk, strawberry is red; yellow milk, exercising some thinking; bananas, and et cetera.

Glorious, thick, literal. Green. So green that it could be turquoise. Very beautiful indeed. Upon steamed skimmed milk with mint, the description, it conjures to be that thin form of mint; the transparent liquid of brew, never to be Green Milk, like what insisted. On the tongue, it is so merry, so colourful, it is not really mint, but peppermint.

Green Milk (Iced) (SGD 5.80)

The milk is breathed of mint (herbs), and a cooling sensation of the candy thereafter.

P.S. The place also likes to play with colours. Pinky pasta, the utopia of red and white cream pasta sauce, pinky (sausage) pasta, or the chef managed to leave one or two of his behind? Anticipating.

Stars on My Green Tea - Starbucks Black Sesame Green Tea Frappuccino

Sunny

The two potent powder powers together, black sesame(powder) and green tea (matcha) powder, you get a boosting striated streaky mix.

Black Sesame Green Tea Frappuccino (Tall) (SGD 6.40) Chocolate Old-Fashioned (Back)

The lighting is warm and beckoning. Like how paper is unable to wrap up a fire, the inherent nature of things will emerge through; the aura of how an area is like will also be replicated in your pictures.

P.S. Starbucks craftily placed the black sesame and green tea on a higher pedastal. The sweet waft of the nutty black sesame lingers in the air. While it may take some suiting to, it is mellow, vanilla and light.

Pink Soy Milk

Humid

These are packeted as candy as juice. With many flavours and colours to choose from. Its like unfair, why can the milk be flavoured in such a wonderful array of yummy ingredients and colours, yet still considered normal and popular? Why not the soy milk? So Yeo's tried to change the prejudice against soy milk, making it sound as delicious as the milk.

Yeo's Bandung Soy Drink (SGD 2.95 per pack)

The same logic as the milk, they are all very versatile fluids, readily fusible with other foods yet retaining their integrities in their own special ways. Sometimes even creating vastly different, or new personas. In terms of the quality and texture.

So maybe you should try the bandung soy milk, the mirror parallel of the strawberry milk, one of the best partners/match with soy milk. Somehow when it is bandung, it is always with soy, and not milk.(?)

P.S. Unlike your milk, you have to shake this before serving. There are little peptide particles at the bottom of the carton. The taste is thin, and very refreshing, honeyed like it is drinking juice, when it is actually milk. Good to cheat on people to getting their soy, chilled, or just out from the packet!
