Once in a while, from too many foreign fares consumed, the tongue craves for sweet, cloying native juices.
Such is the nonya, beamingly assuming malay cuisine; not to be underestimating its deep ties with{almost all} chinese desserts.
Red and green bean, giftedness in using cheaply-found ingredients; pandan, ostentatiousness in weaving decor into foods.
Such is the visualisation of a traditional nonya lady, passed down today until. . Nyonya Bistro.Ninja turtles! These ku kuehs(tortoise shells) has discarded their red shells, making them {---} ku kuehs.
Thin-skinned, they remain a gelatinous joy without obstructing (you)much from their inner fillings. Yam and sweet potatoes incredibly yams and sweet potato, reaping full benefits from the starchy tubers. Seen as a whole, the other tortoises were more regular; like milk-shake thinned out with a little syrup.
