Hard-boiled {egged}- Kaya madeleine @ Delifrance

Night

Up for grabs. Original, chocolate almond or kaya. One has never envisioned the befalling of this day, where madeleines (even) has to be stamped out of its buttery, pound form. Madeleine or mufflines (?); identity crisis where flavour can no longer indicate what pastry it is.

One has just adored, madeleines. Ever since been introduced to tea time. The plain, honest, good. From the range at Delifrance's fare. One do not need any thrills and spills.

Madeleines (SGD 3.80 6 pcs)

In touch with the local, bringing back gulden times. Delifrance bending with Singaporean kaya in its breakfast, and a twist to the old-fashioned madeleines. What one love of these pretty scalloped shapes, now dipped in a luscious chocolate or pandan green. Still buttery and moist as ever, it overturns the definition of a madeleine, breaking open the kaya sponge to runny, mellow kaya jam inside, filled like linzer cookie or molten cake.

P.S. Reverie of the plain. One also admits this idiosyncrasy towards hards breads, muffins, piglet mooncake, ma lai gao, kueh bahulu.
