Black S. Society

28 April, 2010

Some of the delicious places on earth include parisian, French- and Japan. I
too, have had my fair share of a thing or two for these places some time in my life. Having your cake and eating it too is Four Leaves (the good-old name amongst singapore's bakeries), our beloved Sun Moulin or Yamazaki Bakery, and now BreadTalk group Bread Society.

(We all knew of BreadTalk's slant towards the japanese). Bread Society@ION is a sooner or later affair. Inspirational, baked-on-the-premises patisserie's way; a winning formula{surprisingly} among rice-fed singaporeans, packed full of mothers/ladies/people snapping(packing) them home.

Croissant, danish, brioche; these are from patisserie, hokkaido beans, adzuki, matcha; these are from Japan. Black sesame too, famed and crowned in japanese sweets. What about singapore? Coconut, pandan, kaya, I dare say.

Black Sesame Society (SGD 1.50)
Generous whole black sesame seeds, favourable like Sesame Street characters. It isn't like black (s) society as the name suggests, taste neat and decent as its looks. White bread but a new take on black food.
