Green Cake

28 April, 2010

Toast Box has been fond, mushrooming all over the island during the halcyon days. At ION, it is known as Tea Loft. One of the difference is the Queen, corned beef thick toast and baked bean thick toast! Another is pale blue flowers housed in white-washed furniture; contemporary gentle shock that lives up to BreadTalk's name.

Colonial Tea Cake (Kaya) (SGD 1.20)

Here, the traditional tea cakes are transformed into
Colonial Tea Cakes: chocolate cherries, raspberry vanilla, coffee,
strawberry and kaya, always so obedient sitting in a row, sensuous in buttercream and a colour plate went wrong; loud, loud colours for me to eat.

Aloe Vera With Honey (SGD 2.40)

Aloe Vera; not wholly because its green, it has seen through singapore's tumultuous years: pomegranate, acai berry, fish-grazing fads. Honey too, reminiscent of brown sugar, raw sugar, aspartame, Equal.

P.S. We live to an age eating buttercream for the sake of seeing buttercream once again.
